Just had my line activated after switching to BE Broadband upto 24Meg.

Actually getting between 9 and 17Meg at the moment, ISP says it could take a couple of weeks to settle down.

I'm very happy with these speeds though. I was with BT Broadband on their upto 8Meg deal but sometimes only got 500Kbps and hardly ever got over 1/1.5Meg, when I complained they said the problem wasn't their end as they were sending full speed, it must be a problem at my end, Microwave or TV interfering etc.

Anyway needless to say I left them as soon as possible.

Just installed my FON router.

WHAT'S a FON router I hear you ask?
Well I'll tell you, Fon is a product (router) that you plug into your existing router. It broadcasts a public signal and a private signal.

If you buy the FON router, you get free WiFi anywhere in the world that other FON members are broadcasting a signal, simply by logging on with your FON username and password.
You can also make money from others logging on and surfing using your public connection.

The public one as you'd expect is a open connection for people that have registered with FON and have bought air time off them, or other FON router owners use for free.
The private signal is a personal WPA encrypted connection for you to share with your friends/ family, or whom ever you choose to allow access.
The signal strength of the La Fonera (FON router) is excellent.
